The facilities were top-notch, with beautiful decor and a spacious social area. They also had free coffee and tea for guests, which was a nice touch. they provided a free transportation pass, making it easy to explore the city.
The beds were uncomfortably close to each other, almost as if you were sleeping right next to someone. The divider provided little privacy, making it feel even more crowded.

Receptionist was very helpfull and friendly. Location was perfect. Price vs comfort/cleaness was good. We stayed in a room for 2 people, and share the bathroom. It was very clean.

Clean and comfortable rooms with modern amenities. The beds were spacious and had their own lockers. The kitchen was well-equipped and kept clean. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the train station. The hostel offered free Wi-Fi, which worked perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful, speaking good English.

Great location, just behind the main train station. Rooms are very clean. Very good value for money. In addition, the hostel offers free mobility card for unlimited travel within basel city.

Definitely one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! Extremely friendly and helpful staff, the place (even the shared toilet and bathroom) is spotless clean, great location - only 5 minutes walk straight from the back exit of the train station SBB, and 10-15 minutes walk to the city center. Buffet breakfast costs only CHF 5 and is totally worth it. Basel is a wonderful city to explore. Thanks to YMCA, my experience in Basel was a positive one.

Great location, just 5 minutes walking from the Central Station. Friendly staff who can communicate well in English. Clean and cozy dormitory beds. Well-equipped kitchen. Nice common room. Good storage space available.
Felt looked after, no complaints.

spacious dining hall
luggage storage in dorm is a little small, and the two lights in dorm cannot be used seperarely. for guest who wants to change to another bed, it could be time consuming .
